Abu Dhabi’s Masdar City is a global pioneer in sustainable development and leading in ‘sustainability education’ for students from the UAE, the Middle East and around the world.
I had the privilege to be guided by Oisin Commane, the head of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week - ADSW, outside Masdar's two university complex and be astounded by the architecture of the campus buildings, which used sustainability not only as a value but as a basis for the construction infrastructure.
I've learned these past few years the merging of #environmental_art, and now, from this visit, I have been inspired to combine architectural art and sustainable development.
Sustainability and environmental education in the UAE were very enlightening and advanced, as I came to learn first hand.
